PAE have recently been awarded the contract from a competitive tender for the Engineering Procurement and Construction of two commercial solar PV systems for the City of Stirling. This continues our long and successful history providing clean energy solutions to WA local governments.
The first project is an upgrade to the existing 40kW solar PV system installed in June 2016 at Herb Graham Recreation Centre in Mirrabooka. PAE will add an additional 60kW of tier 1 Trina Solar PV Panels, bringing the system to just under 100kW, enabling the system to be eligible for STCs. PAE will utilise class leading SMA inverters and the new Sunny Portal monitoring system powered by EnnexOS. This system upgrade is forecast to generate an additional 91,309 kWh annually offsetting 75 tonnes of CO2-e which is equivalent to planting 524 trees per year. The upgrade enables the City to further reduce their energy consumption from the grid by 24%.
The second project is a 200kW solar PV system at the Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre in Inglewood. This solar system will utilise 606 tier 1 330W Trina Solar PV Panels and 8 x SMA inverters. As this system is over a 150kVA it requires a more detailed Western Power application involving network studies. PAE has extensive experience in delivering projects greater than 150kVa which will enable expeditious management of any issues that arise and ensure the system has approval to operate. This system is forecast to generate 1.2 MWh annually offsetting the sites energy use by 25%. The solar PV system will offset 253 tonnes of CO2-e equivalent to planting 1772 trees annually.
