It wasn’t a comfortable watch, but David Attenborough’s special on climate change which aired on the ABC last night is important viewing. The documentary was presented in the broadcaster’s trademark style, and some of the visuals of wildfires and melting ice caps could not be starker. It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that we have slipped a long way behind where we need to be in dealing with one of the great problems of our age.
Regardless of your view on Climate Change, we can today generate energy much cleaner, much cheaper and with improved reliability so why stick with the status quo that pollutes, is more expensive and less reliable?
