Perdaman Advanced Energy (PAE) has begun supplying market leading commercial solar PV services across NSW with a number of projects in the education sector reinforcing our expertise in this industry domain. PAE’s installation partners are a platinum rated supplier with a 4.3 star rating out of 5 on solar quotes Australia’s largest data base of solar PV reviews.
There has been strong investment by the NSW Department of Education in renewable energy that has resulted in Solar PV installation projects for many schools across the state. PAE’s first handful of commercial solar projects in NSW have all been in the Education sector since we were successfully selected on the State Government’s and Local Government Procurement’s panel for Solar Power Purchase Agreements and subsequently the NSW State Government’s panel for Energy Services.

Perdaman Advanced Energy engineered, procured and installed a 90kWp grid connected solar system at Chatham high school and a 30kWp grid connected solar system at Taree High School both located in Mid North Coast of NSW. A further two schools in South Sydney and Caringbah are currently in progress.
The Taree Highschool system will produce 41,416kWh annually and offset approximately 34 tonnes of CO2e emissions per annum – the equivalent of planting 237 trees every year. The Chatham High School system is projected to produced 114,975kWh annually and offset approximately 95 tonnes p.a. – the equivalent of planting 668 trees every year. The Chatham installation has a smart energy meter connected to the incoming grid load so that the consumption of the solar PV can be monitored through the monitoring portal and will be an excellent tool for students to learn about the benefits of renewable energy.
Both installations were completed with minimal disruption to the schools. This included weekend work and working on school holidays. The logistics of deliveries were planned out with the school to ensure delivery points and times resulted in minimal impact on staff, students and parents. Fencing was utilised to keep students away from equipment. The solar PV system is well suited to the site with significant daytime electricity usage during the schools operating hours.
Education is an appropriate sector for PAE to have embarked on our business journey in NSW, reinforcing our domain expertise in the sector with many longstanding successful installations including 168kW at Corpus Christi College, 100 kW at Thornlie Christian College, Presbyterian Ladies College and currently WA’s largest school solar system at Christ Church Grammar School.
