Overview
The Shire of Augusta Margaret River has a Local Energy Action Plan in place, which plans to reduce CO2 emissions and promote renewable energy within the Shire. They engaged Perdaman Advanced Energy (PAE) to complete a business case to assess the environmental and financial impacts of renewable energy projects for three of their property assets.
Business Case
PAE completed a detailed business case analysis to determine the optimal options for integrating embedded solar generation and battery storage. The analysis included specifying performance outcomes, system configuration, logistical / installation constraints and risks. As a result, PAE was able to provide system generation forecasts and financial analysis capturing capital, operational and maintenance expenditures; possible grants and financial incentives; and cost benefits (electricity savings, return on investment (ROI) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) figures).
