80.19kW Solar PV System at South Sydney High School
Perdaman Advanced Energy (PAE) with partner RK solar designed, procured and installed a 80.19kWp Grid connected photovoltaic (PV) power system at South Sydney High School located in Paine Street, Maroubra NSW 2035.
Overall System Rating: 80.19kWp
The system is projected to produce 107,428/ kWh annually. Carbon offset approximately 88 tonnes per annum which is the equivalent of planting 668 trees per annum.
Challenges Overcome
PAE had originally planned to complete the project during school holiday term however due to poor weather, PAE were unable to complete all panel installation works.
To keep the project on schedule, PAE worked out of school operating hours. This included weekend work to ensure the school was not disturbed during HSC exam periods. PAE ensured all shutdowns occurred outside of school hours and worked with the school to ensure no interruptions.
Outcomes
The project was funded by the Department of Education and will save South Sydney High School around 23% yearly on their annual energy bill.
